Faculty of Engineering & IT

Dean's Message

Welcome to the Faculty of Engineering and Information Technology (FEIT), Foundation University School of Science & Technology.
At our school, we believe in objective and outcome based education blended with philosophy, innovation, ethics, optimization and collaboration. The technologies of engineering and computing are shaping the world around us, driving progress and improving lives. As you embark on this exciting journey with us, you join a community of dedicated learners, accomplished faculty, and industry partners who are all committed to excellence.
Faculty of Engineering & IT (FEIT) is committed to design, develop, implement, maintain or in short words engineer the products. Engineering & IT extends the body of knowledge to the stability, speed, usability, testability, reliability, size, cost, security and troubleshooting of Systems and never lessen the attention from elegance, conciseness, and customer satisfaction, among many other attributes. For this, FEIT is composed of three departments, i.e. Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering and Engineering Technology departments. The Department of Software Engineering and Department of Engineering Technology are amongst the pioneers in Pakistan to start formal education of BS software engineering and BS engineering technology programs.
We started offering BCSE (Bachelors of Computer Software Engineering) and BSCS (Bachelors of Science in Computer Science) in 1998 but did not dither to broaden the compass for postgraduate programs MS (Computer Science), MS (Artificial Intelligence), MS (Software Engineering), MS (Information Security), MS (Electrical Engineering) and Ph.D. (Computer Science). The design of the degree programs takes into account the highest national standards set by ACM and IEEE Computer societies. We aim to produce graduates with state of the art skills in the domain who could conveniently align themselves with industry, government or entrepreneurial endeavors to demonstrate professional advancement hence becoming an asset for the nation. In all these academic engagements we do have an objective to make certain pursuance on high ethics. The Department of Electrical Engineering with its state of the art labs, most current curricula, and highly qualified faculty made reputable accomplishments in such a short period of time. The department primarily focuses upon imparting sound engineering knowledge, training with scientific skills at highest ethical standards and convening effective communication skills to the youth. With over 60 full-time faculty members the faculty visions to be known as a center of excellence in the field.
As a student in the FEIT, you'll have access to state-of-the-art labs, cutting-edge research opportunities, and a curriculum that is designed to align with industry needs. Our faculty members are not only experts in their respective fields, but also mentors who are dedicated to your growth as a scholar, a professional, and a responsible global citizen.
Furthermore, the collaborative environment at our school is designed to encourage interdisciplinary interactions. We believe that the best solutions often arise at the intersection of different disciplines, and we actively encourage you to explore diverse interests that can enrich your perspective and broaden your horizons.
While technical prowess is crucial, we also emphasize the importance of ethics, communication skills, and a holistic approach to problem-solving. Our aim is not only to equip you with technical expertise, but also to nurture well-rounded individuals who can lead with integrity and contribute meaningfully to society.
I encourage you to make the most of your time here – engage in research, join student organizations, participate in hackathons, and take advantage of the resources available to you. Your journey through the School of Engineering & Information Technology will be shaped by your choices and your commitment to learning and growth.
All the undergraduate programs in the faculty are duly accredited by Pakistan Engineering Council (PEC), National Computing Education Accreditation Council (NCEAC) and National Technology Council (NTC).
Thank you for choosing our school to be a part of your educational journey. Together, we will explore, innovate, and create a future that is both inspiring and impactful.
